There was no pit at this venue. I had a fifth-row seat, which was very close and at about stage level—a perfect vantage point. They didn't really play anything special, but it wasn't a bad setlist otherwise. Transistor stood out to me. Also, Freeze Time, Homebrew, Too Late, Wildfire, Use of Time, and Omaha Stylee. Their performances were all pretty tight. Met up with two BBers, and we met SA after the show.

Night two of 311 Day 2022. The band sounded even better tonight (from a technical sound-mix perspective). This set list was much better than night one, although it also lacked a good stretch of high-energy songs. The end of the set was also perplexing. They got the crowd hyped by playing Freeze Time but slowed it down again with Use of Time and mid-tempo Make It Rough. And ending the show with Beyond the Gray Sky was a bummer.

Night one of 311 Day 2022. The band sounded great. The setlist was full of deep cuts, but it lacked a good stretch of high-energy songs. This show was still better than both 311 Day 2018 shows.

Small but energetic crowd amid the COVID-19 pandemic. I watched the show from the pit, but there was plenty of room to stay away from people. The band's performance was full of energy and nearly flawless. The setlist was short, but it was longer and better than the co-headlining setlists from 2018 and 2019.

This was one of the 311 Day warm-up shows. I was able to secure a front-row seat to this show, although I was at the far left of the stage. There was no barricade between my seat and the stage (there was no pit at this venue), so I was able to stand right at the stage to watch the show. The band's performances were spot-on, but the setlist was mediocre.

This show was part of a co-headlining tour with The Dirty Heads. The setlist was short (only 16 songs), and it was was nearly identical to other shows they had played on this tour. They also didn't play an encore. Aside from those gripes, the performances were good and it was nice to see the new Voyager album songs live (except Good Feeling). I watched the show from the pit at USANA Amphitheatre for the first time in over a decade.

Front row aisle seat right in front of Tim. Closest spot I've ever had for a 311 show. This was a great show with a very good setlist. They played Visit after I requested it at the end of a tweet I sent the prior weekend to thank them for stopping in the middle of the desert (on their way home) to play a show in a venue that holds only 1,000 people. Aside from Nick forgetting a couple lines during Visit and a messy start to Tribute, the performances were flawless. SA gave me a high-five after the show, and Tim's guitar tech gave me one of his picks. This show was definitely one of my favorite 311 experiences.

#32: March 11, 2018 (311 Day)
Park Theater
Las Vegas, NV
Night two of 311 Day weekend 2018. 311 played four of their oldest songs on a set made to replicate Nick's dad's basement. They also played old instruments and wore 1990s-era clothing styles. It was both awesome and hilarious. The setlist was not that great for a 311 Day show. It included a lot of songs they normally also play at regular shows. The setlist also didn't flow well. It was very herky-jerky. Amber, Too Much to Think, 'Til the City's on Fire, and Beyond the Gray Sky were particularly unwelcome additions to the setlist. The band's overall performance was just OK, with inconsistent vocal performances being the main problem.

Night one of 311 Day weekend 2018. Awesome venue with great acoustics. Awesome visuals. Tim was the hero tonight. They played many songs with guitar solos. SA also shined. Nick's vocals were lacking. The setlist was pretty safe for a 311 Day show, but not bad. The band's overall performance was just OK, with inconsistent vocal performances being the main problem.

The second of two Fourth of July weekend shows at the Mandalay Bay Beach. The band performed its self-titled album (the "Blue Album") in its entirety. They also played all the B-sides from the album (except the instrumental, "Next"). Fireworks concluded the event. Possibly the best 311 show I've ever attended. The band's performances were nearly flawless and the energy level from both the band and the crowd were very high throughout the show. When they played "Unity", the energy was at a level higher than possibly any other 311 show I've ever attended. Fireworks after the show. (Soundcheck: Firewater, Juan Bond, and Outside)

Final 311 show of the 2014 summer tour. An odd general admission-only show for such a large amphitheatre. Arrived a little later than I had hoped, so we didn't get a great seat. Everything else about this show was awesome. The sound mix was perfect. The performances were mostly flawless. The crowd was into it. The setlist was decent. Best of all, they played Tribute (my favorite 311 song)! And then they followed it with Come Original (my second favorite 311 song). Perfect.

Cool venue. You either stood in the water in front of the stage or on the beach. The performances were pretty good. The crowd was distracting at times, which impacted my enjoyment of the show. The sound mix was OK. The vocals were quite high in the mix at the beginning of the show, and Chad's cymbals during his solo were a mess. They kept adjusting things, but never seemed to get it quite right. Also heard them soundcheck Mix It Up, Time Bomb, Wild Nights, Make It Rough and First Dimension while waiting to get in the venue for the show.

Tim's guitar mix was terrible the past two years at USANA Amphitheatre, but not this year. The sound mix was perfect. Cool, random setlist with less staple songs. The crowd was off-the-hook the whole show, and the band was very engaged and very into the show. Their performance was energetic and (aside from a couple lyrics flubs) nearly flawless. No "going through the motions" performance like last year. 311 was very appreciative of the crowd's energy. Nick remarked on Twitter after the show: "Wow SLC! You guys weren't playin' around tonight! Nice one". It's hard to beat Night 1 of 311 Day 2012, but this show at least comes very close to being the best 311 show I've attended.

Another terrible sound mix at USANA Amphitheatre this year, despite being dead center in the second row of seats behind the pit. Could not hear Tim's guitar. Worse, the band was seriously lacking in energy. A very lackluster performance. It took a third of the set for the band to stop just going through the motions.

Night two of 311 Day Weekend 2012. 311 Day! The fifth time I've seen 311 perform on the 11th day of a month (2 of which were on a March 11). Not as good of a show as the night before. It felt choppy. I wasn't thrilled with the setlist, and their energy and performances weren't as good as the prior night. With that said, this show was still amazing. The percussion ensemble was an awesome addition to the four songs they performed with them. I saw nine songs live for the first time at this show. So, in the past two weekends covering three 311 shows, I saw 86 different songs performed, and 25 for the first time (or 28 for the first time, if you count Coda, the Sunset in July remix, and the Waiting in Vain cover).

Night one of 311 Day Weekend 2012. The best 311 concert I have ever attended. Much better than 311 Day 2010, in my opinion. The sound was perfect. The crowd was awesome. My seat location was great. The band's energy was way up there. Their performances were nearly flawless. The added specialties for 311 Day Weekend actually enhanced the show. The intermission was short and didn't really interrupt the energy of the show much, unlike the multiple intermissions in 2010. And, of course, the setlist was full of rarely played songs. I saw 14 311 songs I had never seen performed live before, or 17 songs, if you count the bass instrumental, Coda, the remixed version of Sunset in July, and Nick's solo performance of Bob Marley's Waiting in Vain.

A warm-up show in preparation for 311 Day. Small, theatre-style venue. The mix was good sometimes, and just OK other times. Volume of the show was very low, which was good because you could really hear the individual performances of the band members because you weren't overwhelmed by noise. With that said, mistakes were also very obvious, and given that this show was just a warm-up show, mistakes were plentiful. They nailed most of the songs, but a few were just OK, and a few they butchered (e.g., Weightless and Rub A Dub).

Another great performance. Sound was subpar, however. Tim's guitar was buried in the mix. Very high-energy, and the setlist was sufficiently random.

Great performance. Very high-energy. Not the most compelling setlist, however. Terrible sound--not sure if the mix or the venue acoustics were to blame. Weird fact: This show marks the 3rd straight time I've seen them perform on the 11th day of a month, and I've seen them a total of 4 times on the 11th day of a month.

A great experience for any fan of the band. 311 fans literally owned the south side of the Las Vegas Strip this weekend. I enjoyed the concert very much. They played 19 songs I hadn't yet heard live before. The sound was very good overall. The band performed very well, and with quite a bit of energy, especially during the second set. I thought there were too many intermissions, which tended to interrupt the flow of the show. I thought the dub reggae set should've been longer and included all of the slower songs they were going to play in that one set so the other sets could've been all high-energy songs. I only wished they would've played Stealing Happy Hours, Prisoner, Transistor and, of course, Tribute.

Cold and rainy, but the rain cleared out by the time 311 went on stage. The most enthusiastic/energetic 311 performance I've seen, to date. They played nine songs from Uplifter. The new songs are legitimately excellent live songs. Here's a quote P-Nut posted on the 311 Bulletin Board regarding this show: "Last night in SLC was amazing: (the) band and (the) crowd killed it. I will remember that show fondly." In another post on the 311 Bulletin Board, P-Nut remarked, "(The) SLC (show) rocked so hard it's difficult to put into words." Cool.

I liked the setlist. Otherwise, this show was not very good. 311 were OK, but I don't think they particularly wanted to be playing at this terrible venue for this terrible crowd in this cold, drab part of the country. The crowd sucked. The venue was terrible. Alien Ant Farm put on a terrible performance to open the show.
